My wife is an avid badminton player. She finally let me do a sports portrait session with her. The lighting setup for this is with one large softbox and a beauty dish used as a rim light. She is standing real close to the softbox to get soft lighting on her face. For the rim lighting, I added a red gel to some more dramatic affect. The close up picture is shot with a 50mm prime lens at f1.4. I love the blurring on the badminton racket.
